Three Wildheart illustrations selected for the SCBWI Pittsburgh KidLit Art Show
Three original Wildheart illustrations were selected for the SCBWI Pittsburgh KidLit Art Show, held at Spinning Plate Gallery in Pittsburgh this month until August 30.
The exhibition brought together work by children's book illustrators from throughout the region, including three of my pieces: The Encounter, Ivy's Rainy Day, and Pirates.
As both an author and illustrator, it was especially meaningful to see my work hanging alongside the work of other artists who share a love of visual storytelling for children.
Each of the three pieces represents a different little corner of my creative world, from quiet woodland moments to imagination and adventure. Having them selected for the show was a wonderful milestone for Wildheart Pen & Studio and an exciting opportunity to be part of Pittsburgh's children's illustration community.
I'm grateful to SCBWI Pittsburgh for creating a space to celebrate the artists behind children's stories, and I'm looking forward to seeing where these paintings, characters, and stories take me next.
